Alan Kaplan is passionate about offering students an opportunity to practice their presentation skills.
When his class moved online, he had to come up with a new strategy for the presentation component of his class. He found he was able to offer students more of his time by scheduling virtual presentations throughout the final week of classes.
While not the same as the in-person experience, the ability to present virtually was a new skill his students were likely to need in their future careers.
An added bonus was how easily he could provide his students with recordings of their presentations along with his written feedback, something that had not been possible before. Now, his students could watch themselves and learn even more about how to improve their delivery.
